About Us

We're Wing Tsun Martial Arts , and we’ve been a premier martial arts school in Glenview, IL, since 2013. We specialize in self defense and kids programs for ages 4-12. We offer classes in Tai Chi, Karate, and Wing Chun classes as well as kids break programs and event spaces. We’re looking forward to working with consumers in the Glenview, Mount Prospect, and Northbrook area to satisfy your martial arts needs. Shifu Guermann Attanasov is truly a remarkable teacher who has a way of breaking techniques down and explaining them that I've never encountered before. It's probably his engineering background that accounts for his ability to break down movement as well as he does. Other tai chi instructors teach the form; he teaches the art. Wonderful place to learn Martial Arts.The instructors are excellent and the facility is great. Wing Tsun is like no other art for self defense. It is simple to learn but takes a lifetime to perfect. It is a total health system. Great for young and old. I am 69 years old, practicing for 7 years.It gets more and more interesting as I go on.

Been doing martial arts a long time - karate, tae kwon do, some kung fu, capoeira, etc. This school is extremely different. The approach is extremely systematic and hard to describe - at first it seems very focused on basics like finding your center but as you progress you learn a certain depth of knowledge and intuition about how to react to various scenarios that none of the other things I studied have ever achieved. Good balance between basics and realistic self defense scenarios. I feel my mind and body connected and reacting all by itself without thinking. It takes a while to get there but the journey is well worth it. The sifus are all amazing, patient, and the group is friendly. Lots of partner work, not a lot of sparring or heavy pressure, but when testing my skills under pressure in other sparring situations I found that the wing tsun preparation was extremely effective even when faced with completely unfamiliar circumstances like a grappler. My body just knew what to do. Going to class here is a new experience every time. You think you understand something and then your mind is blown again and again.
